Uplift Universe - Old Man With His Pets

Hi everyone.
This is my Uplift Universe piece. I would like to share it for your valuable comments and critiques.

--

I painted an original concept idea from my own. -- The old man seeks for domestic creatures from other planets and lives with these pets as he is an animal lover. He sometimes keeps them for himself and sometimes sells them or gives to others as a gift. But he loves all of them with a deep emotion. Whereupon, creature pet collection is kind of his lifestyle.
-- In this scene we see a cheap and old fashioned like small restaurant, the old man with his creatures and a space outer guy looking back to those cute creatures. Maybe one of those creatures is from his own planet. So he is so happy to see an animal from his homeland. The Space outer guy is an herbivorous character and he is full of animal love sense too.
-- WE SEE A UNIVERSAL FEELING ABOUT ANIMAL LOVE AND THIS FEELING IS A KIND OF CONNECTION BETWEEN A HUMAN AND A HUMANOID FROM ANY PLANET AROUND THE UNIVERSE.

At night, late hours, there are many things to inspire at the city. Many subjects for a painting. I noticed that, homeless people with a great figurative scene, naked and clothed contrast, sleeping on cold stone streets, seems very dramatic. Also i saw this one wrapped all over the head with a scarf. Actually, nothing to say more for this.

--- I painted it all over at Photoshop. Nearby some free artistic brush stoke stile, i used some filters like emboss to form some textures as the wall example.

--- For clothes and body parts, i took some photos and look for some real model around my family. i did so for the environment. My sister can become a wall by shapeshifting.. :P

the image took around 30-35 hours worktime i guess...

---Feel free to tell me what if you think about it..
Thanks for watching.

Cat with a tail hand

i drew a sketch on a paper about a year ago. I found it randomly nowadays. It was a cat with a tail hand and was carrying a mouse. I was thinking it was an invention of a scientist who bored to carry those mice around. So he did this creature.

I work for it about 15 hours at Photoshop CS2. Working on creating and using some brush strokes for the textures. As a style, it became some different thing as its own mood.

So another piece about future. Also about the post-war times. Nowadays the subject is so popular about being along after a huge demolition around world. People dies, cities are empty or collapsed. I used to play Fallout computer game series for a long time many years ago. But i still remember how is this feeling. Being alone in the deserts. So i did this to achieve that mood.
---
This guy is looking for something and came from far away miles. He has a thrusting but loyal pet. He got out of his vehicle and walking to the huge mass in a big hole. No need to tell more actually. I'm not quite sure what he is looking for and where did he came from. Everybody has a reason..
---
i was working on the image about a week. I mostly used several brush types i defined with some variations of duel brush. I'm trying to improve my style to a good condition.

Lady turtle Uchuchbagha

Hey,, There is my Strange Behavior job. This is my second long-time work.

I wrote a long story about the picture at my challenge page. I'm telling the short one here ( i suggest you the short one ;

The old lady turtle Uchuchbagha is bored her long life and wanted to be a ladybug. She painted her shell with black dots on red, light up a gas lamp to gather them around the light. She wanted to fly as her last wish. She dreamed some faeries calling her and a neverland at the far deeps of the high cliff.

I paint it all at Photoshop.
As a reference, i model faeries at zbrush and compose them at maya.
And i took some bush photos at candle light.

Here there is a strange perspective that is showing both real and unreal world and the turtle is standing just at the edge of the sides and the action.

Thanks for watching.

Using the photos i took for several textures, making it much more canvas paint-like or something else i cant figure exactly. i guess it's becoming more abstract, i like it somehow. Hey, no i am not a dirty guy, but i like dirty look works...
They look old and nostalgic with a familiar melancholy feeling.
Also the women i draw has a melancholic look too.
My work gaining those feeling even i want or not.
i may be a little depressive usually...
At the challenge "the journey begins" , i had a concept about a little bird and small forest creatures helping it named three tails. This is a close up portrait from one of those creatures. A simple photoshop work only with some strokes...

i inspired from my sister :P
This was my 'The Journey Begins' competition image and it was my first long-time photoshop illustration. Hmm it didn't take too much time actually but it was long enough to me that i was almost an amateur..

This is the cropped view of it. Anyway, no concept is important for this work anymore. :P

For my progress and style, you see it is quite disengaged and paint-like work. I mostly recommend to illustrate, paint or draw by the reflection of my pure skill… Actually this image is the result of the quite basic photoshop.

I was mostly cared about the anathomy progress on the torso.

This was a drawing at the backside of my representation folder for a lesson applied with pen and colored ink with brush. So looks like watercolour because of that. I tried not to lose this effect.
